It’s time to consider going to the 2018 ENA General Assembly (September 25-26) and conference (September 27-29) in Pittsburg, PA.
We will have up to 5 delegates representing the Vermont Chapter at the General Assembly. This is an opportunity for Vermont to have a voice in the direction of the Emergency Nurses Association as it applies to policy, education and membership.
New this year, we are reserving one spot for an emergency department nurse who is an emerging professional. Emergency nurses who have less than five years’ experience can apply to be a delegate to the General Assembly. The Vermont ENA Chapter supports attendance at the General Assembly by providing a stipend to help cover some of the cost.
If you are interested in becoming a delegate to the General Assembly (as a regular delegate or as an emerging professional), go to www.vermontena.nursingnetwork.com to complete the application.
In addition, the Joan Hartley Scholarship is awarded to a Vermont ENA chapter member to attend either the annual ENA or IAFN conference. This $1000 award is in honor of Joan Hartley who was an Emergency Department Nurse and a SANE. Application for this scholarship can be found at the Vermont ENA website.
We encourage you to consider applying for either of these opportunities to support emergency nursing in Vermont and to take advantage of the networking, superb education opportunities, vendor updates and the chance to visit Pittsburg with friends.
