The Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) is a two-day course designed to provide core-level knowledge and skills associated with the delivery of professional emergency nursing care to the trauma patient. Lecture topics include: Initial Assessment, Airway & Ventilation, Shock, Brain, Craniofacial Trauma, Facial/Neck Trauma, Thoracic Trauma, Abdominal Trauma, Special Populations, Musculoskeletal Trauma, Surface Trauma & Burns, Spinal Cord & Vertebral Trauma, Disaster Management, Psychosocial Aspects, and Transition of Care. Skill stations include: Airway & Ventilation, Trauma Nursing Process and Trauma Interventions
